Hayari Paris' Goldy Fragrance Launch and Vera Bradley's Baby Line Preview

By: Anne M. Raso

Two last parties rounded out my all out fantastic week. First, the "scent"sational  Hayari Paris took out a private room in Bar Boulud for an editor's breakfast filled with gorgeous white flowers and couturier designs on mannequins. They had the early morning fete to celebrate their newest fragrance Goldy, which is for sale exclusively at C.O. Bigelow & Company pharmacy in the West Village and on their site bigelowchemists.com.
Goldy

Goldy smells like fresh magnolias to me and my untrained nose so I adore it, but it's official description is that it is supposed to have a "warm powdery" scent with a "woody glow." Also check out Hiyari's two other phenomenal scents while you are lingering in Bigelow--the award-winning Broderie, which is inspired by embroidery and lace and Only For Her, which unleashes a fresh grapefruit scent more refreshing than any that has come before it.
Nabil Hayari with his design
The development of the Hayari fragrances is overseen 100 per cent of the way by couturier Nabil Hayari, and he lets fashion inspire his scents just like the grand old couturier houses of Chanel and Dior. His greatest fans and clients include Nicole Kidman, Kylie Minogue, Pink and Beyonce.
Vera Bradley Baby Socks
I moved from beauty to babies in the Crosby Street Hotel, where Vera Bradley took over a suite to show off their new baby line to press. Guests got to see their extravagant displays of everything from diaper bags to onesies to booties (many available in the same bold VB prints). The strength of the line not only lies in the fact that Vera Bradley's prints are amongst the most beloved in the accessories arena today, but because any of the items that were not true baby attire (such as bags and blankets) are "adult" looking enough for mommy to use once baby has grown up a little.
Vera Bradley Onesie
The sunny quilted flower prints used for Vera Bradley Baby will undoubtedly become some of her most famous when looking back in ten or more years. As you know, Vera Bradley designs are available in many mainstream department stores and are well constructed so that the owner can get years rather than months out of them.
