It's a Meat Feast: Boston Market's New Rotisserie Brisket and Prime Rib

By: Finance Foodie

Growing up, Boston Market was known as my spot for some juicy and tender rotisserie chicken (plus all the fabulous fixings on the side, especially that to-die-for cornbread). But now I hear they have expanded their offerings to the other white meat - beef!

Va Va Voom at Vien NYC

By: Finance Foodie

The other day, the Mister and I decided to check out Vien, a new quick eats spot in the West Village, after a thumbs up recommendation from Team Finance Foodie's Simone. Dubbed the "Asian Chipotle", Vien offers light, fresh and relatively healthy customizable noodle and rice bowls topped with assorted meats and dressing.

Taste Testing: Domino’s Pizza Specialty Chicken

By: Finance Foodie

A few weeks ago, Domino’s Pizza launched a much buzzed about new menu item - the Specialty Chicken, its first new menu item since Handmade Pan Pizza in September 2012. Domino's pizza chefs took chicken to a whole new level by using toppings, sauces and cheeses, and layering them over our boneless chicken to create four unique flavors of Specialty Chicken. The four flavors are: Crispy Bacon & Tomato, Spicy Jalapeno-Pineapple, Classic Hot Buffalo and Sweet BBQ Bacon.

Taking it to Times Square at Wasabi Sushi and Bento

By: Finance Foodie

A few months ago, I discovered Wasabi, the London-based Japanese fast casual restaurant chain, just opened its first U.S. location in Times Square. The "Pret" of Japanses food, Wasabi specializes in a wide selection of individually-wrapped sushi and Japanese hot food favorites, including bento boxes and noodle soups, as well as made-to-order salads and special sushi rolls, all made fresh in-store daily. I had to work late the other night, so I decided to stop by for a quick to-go dinner.

Taste Testing McDonald's Mighty Wings

By: Finance Foodie

Just in time for the Fall season, McDonald’s brought back the popularity and fun of chicken wings to customers seeking any time and any reason to enjoy them. McD's Mighty Wings are a natural bone-in chicken wing that comes in two varieties, a drummette or a wingette. They are breaded to provide a crispy bite of home-style flavor and seasoned with cayenne and chili pepper for an extra kick of spice. For a customized flavor experience, customers can pair their wings with one of nine sauces (including my personal fave - the Tangy BBQ!).

Turn Around for Eight Turn Crepe Soho

By: Finance Foodie

Eight Turn Crepe, a new fast-casual restaurant offering delicious, hand-crafted Japanese-inspired crepes, recently opened its doors to its first-ever U.S. location in SoHo, NYC. This new restaurant serves better-for-you crepes, made fresh-to-order and served in a traditional Japanese cone-style – and they’re delicious! Feeling guilty after a late night of partying, my dining companion and I decided this would be a much better lunch option than the usual hangover fair of greasy burgers and fries. So with our sunglasses on (to hide our bloodshot eyes), we meandered slowly downtown to test these new fanged creations out.
