And I' m back!...Back on track that is! Stemming from the disastrous week previous (and the extra pressure of looking my best for the upcoming Mercedes Benz Fashion Week), I was uber motivated to eat well and exercise this week, despite it being busy season at work and added stress over attending grad school next fall. Day 6 &7: Rest – An Easy Check!

This week, I want to share with you another one of my "meal-ious snacks" (definition: a snack that feels like a meal but contains an appropriate snack-level calorie count) that helped me in my weight loss goal this week was a semi-homemade invention I liked to call the Tuna Sandwich Snacker. Using the Alexia Foccacia bread (sent to me by Foodbuzz) and the Tonnino Oregano Tuna (sent to me by Tonnino), I made a super simple to make snack-sized sandwich that tasted like another lunch! And the best part? Only 200 calories per sandwich -- now that's something I can chew on (and swallow)!

FF's Tuna Sandwich Snacker
Calories: 200 / sandwich
Eco-friendly Tuna Served on an Eco-Friendly Hefty Basic Paper Plate!
Using a toaster oven, bake frozen foccacia bread for 7-8 minutes or until crispy on the outside. Slice in half and fill with 2oz Tonnino Tuna oregano fillet. Enjoy!

***Giveaway***
Congrats #19 - 2KidsBlogger!

Tonnino Tuna is a new, gourmet tuna brand that is healthy, environmentally- friendly, and delicious! Besides tasting great, Tonnino Tuna is also low in saturated fat and is an excellent source of protein, minerals, thiamin, selenium, vitamin B6, and Omega 3 fatty acids. I love using Tonnino Tuna in my tuna sandwiches (ummm Starkist - no thanks!) and I want to give one of my readers their very own deluxe Tonnino tuna pack to try. One reader will receive one gift packaged ready set of three different flavored tuna jars: Original, Olive Oil, and Garlic.
There are THREE ways to enter
1. REQUIRED: In my comments section, tell me is your favorite way to eat tuna fish? (Mine is in a sandwich like seen above!). Also please include your email address so I can contact you if you win!
2. Follow Finance Foodie on Twitter (leave separate comment telling me this)
3. Reblog / Retweet this giveaway (leave separate comment telling me this)

Contest ends Wednesday, February 9, 2011 at 5pm EST. Winners will be chosen via random integer generator on random.org announced on the financefoodie.com site shortly afterwards that night!

Disclosure: Tonnino Tuna provided me with the prize pack for the giveaway. Foodbuzz sent me a coupon to try the foccacia rolls.

My favorite is tuna and crackers. It was always a treat when I was growing up and I still love it. Take some saltines, put a layer of mayonnaise on each, and top with tuna. Delicious! It does, however, have the unfortunate side effect of attracting an attentive audience of cats.

I love a good tuna melt I use chipotle mayo(made from olive oil mayo) mixed in with my tuna I like aflavorful aged cheddar and a crust sour dough bread. My husband likes his tuna on a salad--carbs aren't his friends so he can't have bread. I usually use an organic baby spinach (from trader joes)dress the spinach with a spicy Italian dressing then add a sliced hard boiled egg, some avocado, a little blue cheese then drain the tuna and place it on top ---he loves it.

Tuna is one of my favorite foods because it's so good and it's very convenient to eat straight from the jar or with rice or as a sandwich. I love to eat tuna with a fresh salad. The tuna give the salad a lot of flavor so that I don't even need to use dressing.
