-----------------------------------------------------------------Welcome to Finance Foodie Presents: Pioneering Products. These series brings you the exclusive 411 at the new and cool products that have recently come into the marketplace!

“Baila la calle de noche...”

Hola readers! Pardon the multiple languages in the post, but I am in the process of prepping for my escape to sunny Nicaragua, as the New England winter doldrums have left me paler than Edward Cullen. Besides practicing my Espanol and dusting off my sombrero, I’ve also been eating healthier and working out more - there will be no heavy coats and sweaters to hide the winter flabbies in 90 degree F temps!

In regards to “eating healthier”, the mere mention of those two words immediately spring up visions of dry chicken breasts and steamed bland veggies – a Nightmare on Elm Street for a food lover like me! Luckily, the geniuses at the food companies around the world have become more proactive in creating yummy but healthy food items for those of us who want to have our cake and eat it too.

One said product I have discovered recently is the new Greek yogurt line from Yoplait. I had a chance to taste test the Strawberry and Blueberry flavors when Yoplait (via my blog spark) sent me some samples in the mail a few weeks ago. Each 130 calorie cup contains 12 grams of protein – which left me feeling full much longer than my usual morning jelly donut – and was surprisingly rich, creamy, and most importantly, flavorful.

Will I always prefer my calorific and deathly sweet jelly donut for breakfast? - heck yeah. But is it nice to know there is a tasty and satisfying alternative out there for the days I feel like being healthy? – double heck yeah!

******Giveaway******

So Yoplait wants to give one lucky reader 4 free coupons to purchase their new Greek yogurt line and an additional $20 Stop & Shop / Peapod.com gift card (to round off your grocery shopping!). For those of you who cannot wait, visit www.yoplaitgreek.com to print out a coupon to save $.30 on one cup of Yoplait Greek yogurt today!

My favorite travel destination is definitely Oxford, England. The summer I spent there was definitely still my favorite summer to date.

Myrtle Beach is a travel destination that I hold dear to my heart. I've been to England with my parents for graduation and that was AMAZING, but myrtle beach that holds a lot of value and memories with my entire family, some family members have passed and my fondest memories are at myrtle beach with me. May not be as glamorous as some other trips, but its the memories that matter.

Five years after I left college, I took a month long vacation to Colorado! I put over 3000 miles on the rented car. I stayed in Bed & Breakfasts mostly. I had a cooler for lunch stuff, and then went out to dinner every night. I saw a lot of the national parks in the state, and a lot of other attractions. It was the most stress-free time of my life and I really enjoyed myself~!

Must I choose? Then it will be three weeks in New Zealand - rental car on the North Island; campervan (highly recommended) for two weeks on the south island. Fabulous sights and people.

I don't really have a favorite travel destination, I've never really had the pleasure of going anywhere outside of the US & Canada...yet. But I would LOVE to be able to visit Greece, Ireland & Italy. So even though I have yet to travel there, once I do I have no doubt they will be on the top of my list!!
