I’ve always been a huge fan of makeup products – the amount of time I spend browsing the makeup aisle in a Walmart is rivaled by only the amount of time I spend in the ice cream novelties section. Although the colors and different types of products are fascinating, it can get overwhelming – all the possible combination send me in a tizzy!

Not wanting to be the "Hot Mess" of the group when I go out on the town, I was uber glad that CoverGirl sent me three of their new Smoky Eye kits to test drive. Each of these fantastic kits include a CoverGirl SmokyShadowBlast eyeshadow stick, LineExact Liquid Liner, and LashBlast Volume-Blasting Mascara and come in three “looks” – Glamorous, Natural, and Bold.

I decided to try out the Glamorous kit for the Absinthe Tour of Boston last week because my thought process was: Absinthe=Speakeasies=Roaring 20’s=Glamorous. Now if you are a beginner (or an even veteran) with makeup you are going to love these kits because they come with step by step instructions (with pictures) that make creating the Smoky Eye easy as pie!

So here is me before, sans makeup and un-glammed up…

Cool, eh? Plus it only took me about 5 minutes to achieve this look – no muss and no fuss and out the door with time to spare!
