Keep on Rollin’ at the Hard Rock Café New Menu Preview

By: Finance Foodie

With 140 cafes in 56 countries, Hard Rock has become a truly global phenomenon. From its first cafe in London, England, Hard Rock continues to offer great American food in a rock ‘n’ roll environment. Like all good things, evolving is key – which is why the Hard Rock Cafe is unveiling a new menu in US and European cafes starting April 1st – the first time the brand has done a complete overhaul of the entire food and drink menu! The brand surveyed more than 3,000 guests in cafes across four continents and 14 cities to collect feedback on more than 100 items from its existing and redesigned test menus.
New Menu Items

A few days ago, I was invited to take a test drive of some of the new food and drink offerings at the Hard Rock Café in Times Square. Given the abundance of picture taking tourists, Elmos and Naked Cowboys meandering about, I generally try to avoid the 42nd street area like the plague - BUT, the draw of some good ol’ all-American comfort foods lured me in…
Cowboy Rib Eye and Norwegian Salmon
…And I’m glad I took the bait because hook, line and sinker – the new menu was fantastic! The standouts included the brand new Cowboy Rib Eye, a USDA choice 28-day aged 16-oz bone-in rib eye steak topped with maître d’ butter (aka butter mixed with a bunch of flavor packed herbs) and the diet friendly-er Grilled Norwegian Salmon filet, wrapped in cedar paper, and drizzled with sweet and spicy barbecue sauce, served with mashed potatoes and seasonal veggies (tip: skip the mashed potatoes and double the veggies for a lower calorie meal).
Twist and Shout
Capitalizing on industry trends, a subset of Hard Rock’ new beverage menu focused on the concept of sweet and savory. Not to be missed is the Twist & Shout – a combination of Guinness Draught Beer, Bacardi OakHeart Spiced Rum, Dark Crème de Cacao, Chocolate Syrup, Monin Salted Caramel Syrup blended with Ben & Jerry’s Vanilla Ice Cream and topped with whipped cream, caramel, chocolate and…WAIT FOR IT…applewood smoked crisp bacon! A dessert, entrée and cocktail all in one – genius, innovative and efficient!

Bottom line: Hard Rock Cafe’s new and improved menu features Hard Rock’s hand-crafted American fare that rocks, with a commitment to fresh ingredients and the signature flair that guests can only get at Hard Rock.
