For those of you who have a special someone to share this upcoming Valentine's Day with, the dilemma of what to get your lady/lad becomes omnipresent.....right about now! Never fear, for the team at Finance Foodie has been taste testing products all January to prepare for this delicious holiday (also, we love any opportunity to eat). Below are our favorites to tickle every tastebud. And for those celebrating Single's Awareness Day - don't worry - these gifts are universally applicable - because hey there's no better excuse to celebrate the best person in the world...yourself!

Salty
Show your loved one you are nutty for them with the Copper Canyon Sweet & Savory Nuts Assortment ($50) from 1-800Baskets.com, the world's leading online custom gift basket company. It arrives beautifully displayed in a natural wood tray tied with red Valentine ribbon. The basket itself contains a variety of savory roasted mixed nuts, smoke house almonds, and roasted salted pistachios - and then are complemented by sweet/salty milk chocolate cashews, butter toffee pecans, and dark chocolate covered almonds. One handful of these delicious yet nutritious protein packed nuts will have you and your hunnie ready to pump the irons of love!

Sweet
Let your sugar pie know that your heart tweets for them with Cheryl's Love Bird Treats Box ($23). I've never met this company's mother hen Cheryl, but I do know she has the most delicious cookies, cakes and desserts on the web. Inside the bright red box with a big pink bow, you'll find 14 assorted pieces of snack sized cookies and brownies, a deluxe candy dipped pretzels, mini pretzel clusters and (my favorite!) a buttercream layered chocolate sandwich cookie. A great way to let her/him know that they melt your buttery heart and and take the cake when it comes to being loved.

Seductive
Here's a secret but not so secret fact: restaurant totally jack up the prices on Valentine's Day with their "special" menus. Take it from the Finance Foodie, with the economy still rocky, save your hard earned cash by eating at home! Plus, nothing says you care like a home cooked meal (well, semi home cooked - hey, most NYC apartment have kitchen the size of a small bathroom - it's hard to be gourmet!). Romance=sexy pasta and wine, so why not make a complete meal with Giovanni Rana's refrigerated fresh ravioli, paired with the Segura Viudas Brut Rosé. Team Finance Foodie is a big fan of Mr's Rana's namesake restaurant in NYC, so we were super glad his high quality Italian chow can now be enjoyed in the comforts of our homes. His line of thirteen filled and flat fresh pastas is made using proprietary machinery that makes a pasta dough so thin, it's tastes like it was made by hand! The beautiful and affordable (~$10 a bottle) fruity rosé bubbly not only boasts a gorgeous pink, the color of love, but also enhances the meal with flavors of ripe strawberry and cherry. As they say, a way to anyone's heart is through their stomach!
