A Sweet Valentine's Day to Remember with Sugartooth Tours NYC

By: Finance Foodie

What could be sweeter than spending the day with your Valentine and tasting a variety of New York City’'s finest decadent treats? This past V Day, the Mister and I did just that by partaking on Sugartooth Tours’ Valentine’'s Day tour. This annual 2.5 hour tour featured six tastings that started in the Chelsea neighborhood and covered 1.5 miles of walking, with yummy pit stops along the way. During this "couples crawl", we walked down the High Line, and ended in the West Village. In addition to scrumptious sweets, we also also learned a few tidbits and facts about Valentine’'s Day and its history. Here's a look at where we went!
~*~*~*~*~

First stop: City Cakes - super famous for their cupcakes and on almost all of the "best cupcakes of NY" lists. Their ginormous size of your head cookies aren't too shabby either
Second stop: Ronnybrook Milk Bar in Chelsea Market. Known for their delicious and rich ice cream but we went with the hot chocolate instead (as it was cooooolld outside!)
Third Stop: Sugar Factory in the uber trendy Meatpacking District. We admired the Swarovski encrusted celeb inspired lollipops, eyed the candy punch bowls, and took some assorted candy by the pound home.
Fourth Stop: The Chocolate Bar in West Village - home of all things artisanal chocolate - and look at those bling-bling Oreos!
Fifth Stop: Bee's Knees Baking Company for some super fun cake-cups - basically a mini cake that is held together in a cup - genius!
Final Stop: Sweet Revenge for a Valentine's Day inspired strawberry jam filled cupcake topped with strawberry cream cheese frosting and a large chocolate covered strawberry. You're going to have to use your imagination on this one - as I ate it ran out of camera batteries before I got to capture this best of tour treat on film (Sorry!).

Sugartooth Tours' goal is to create experiences that allow customers to come back for more than just one tour. They frequently change up our tours to feature new neighborhoods and desserts (most exciting: a really scrumptious sounding ice cream tour this summer!). Having all these different food tours "keeps the experience fresh and evolving," said Sarah Rolleston, co-owner of Sugartooth Tours "plus, with New York being so large, there are always hidden gems that we discover when researching for our tours."” For more information, to check out other tours, and to purchase tickets, visit www.sugartoothtours.com.
