Anne Around Town: The Loft and Artistry Beauty Spring Collection Preview

By: Anne M. Raso

There's always something fashion forward going on in the City that never sleeps -- now that the weather is getting warmer and Spring collection season is blooming, the parties are in full force! Here's a quick look at what's been happening around town.
The Loft Spring Preview

The Loft recently showed off their bold and fun Summer 2013 line in their Times Square offices, which they share with parent company Ann Taylor. Prevalent trends for the new season are touches of neon on shoe details, especially straps (while the rest of the shoe is neutral), clutches than mix natural fibers with synthetic and somewhat glitzy beading, statement necklaces, sportswear with a lot of color blocking and floral prints.

Press felt the need to touch the delicious colors of the clothing, and we think that if company staff were not milling about, journalists would have been trying on the collection as well. The shiny jelly thong sandals with faux gems just made me smile and forget the super cold NYC weather for awhile!

Artistry introduced press to the new Miss America Mallory Hagan as well as their new spring products at the London Hotel penthouse last week. Journos not only got to interview the bubbly New York beauty at their leisure, but they were treated to makeover with Artistry products (including Creme LuXury, arguably the best anti-aging product on the market which unofficially doubles as the best foundation primer as well), chair massages and facials as well!

One of the most popular tend looks created by Artistry beauty directors and used on the attendees at the event was officially dubbed "Enchanted Lily"--it included the use of Artistry's new Port Wine Eyeliner Pencil, their Soft Rose Sheer Check Color and Lilac Shimmer Lip Gloss, and seemed to work on people with all different coloring.
