-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

As many of you know, I love testing new foods and am a huge sucker for cool food products at the grocery store. So I was pretty pumped when the folks at MyBlogSpark offered to sponsor my breakfast and lunch for the day with a few new products that were being introduced to the market. Although this was a detour in my (somewhat futile attempt at) learning to cook, I was excited to see what was in store for me!

For breakfast, I was sent a gift pack with two cups of Yoplait Whips (Yoplait’s new line of fluffy whipped yogurt), a travel cooler, Popsicle molds (?), and a set of 12 color-changing spoons. I was a bit confused on why I received the Popsicle molds but then realized I could freeze the Yoplait Whips in the molds to make a yogurt crème pop! Although I thought the Whips were way too sweet for breakfast, I could see myself enjoying these cups (or pops) as a yummy and healthy snack on a hot summer day.

For lunch, I was sent the new line of Wanchai Ferry frozen entrees, along with two bamboo placemats, silver chopsticks, and Asian rice bowls for my “Stay at Home” meal for two. Each of the Wanchai frozen entrée has all the ingredients needed to prepare a complete Chinese meal for 2 in only 14 minutes. I chose the Shrimp Lo Mein flavor, which was pretty tasty for a frozen meal.

So readers, this brings me to the GIVEAWAY portion on the story. MyBlogSpark has generously agreed to give one Yoplait giftpack and one Wanchai Ferry giftpack (both pictured above) to a random reader who answers this question in my comments.

“What cool product have you recently discovered at the supermarket/corner store?”

I will pick my TWO winners using a random integer generator in one week (Aug. 19th).

Comments will close at 5:00pm EST. Winner will be announced later in the evening.

89 comments:

  1. A pre-packaged sack of assorted fruits -- three granny smith apples, three golden delicious apples, and three oranges. I hate picking out fruits and trying to put them in cellophane bags which are impossible to peel open, so this wins my coolest item at a supermarket award.

  53. Hmmmm, tough question for me! This doesn't fit the food category but it is sold at my local supermarket. I tried the new Bounce bar that you stick in your dryer and it last for four months. I love it!

I've become so price conscious and coupon crazy, that I don't try to many new things unless they are deeply discounted. I feel kind of sad to say that because I truly love good food. I'm anxious for our economy/financial situation to improve so I can return to experimenting with new things.

Thanks for a great question, I'm looking forward to reading everyone else's responses.

I'm a huge fan of Yoplait - I had it for the first time 35 years ago in France - and have been eating it ever since.

I've never tried Wanchai Ferry, but would love to. The pics at the website look so good that my stomach growled in anticipation!

    Thanks for doing giveaway!
