Boston Ballet Ball After Party

By: Finance Foodie

Event #2 of the night took me across town to the Castle at Park Plaza for the Boston Ballet Ball’s After Party, hosted by the Young Partners of Boston Ballet. This not to be missed event was a star studded affair; the who’s who of Boston society all came out in full force for an evening of dancing and drinks with the Ballet company’s best dancers. While munching on the delectable dessert from MAX Ultimate catering, I had a chance to check out the lovely outfits the event attendees doned for the night. I must say it was extremely hard to pick favorites in this sea of fashionistas, but below are some of the highlights from the night.

Tonya Mezrich (R), the event host, wore a gorgeous custom made dress by Micheal DePaulo. The beautiful light yellow fabric was reminiscent of the lovely daffodils that I grew during the days when I dreamt of becoming a gardener. Also, she was rocking the glitter eyeshadow. Susie Bonakdarpour, a member of the Boston Ballet Ball Committee (L), was just as stunning in an all black ensemble with delicate lace sleeves.

Footwear, although often missed by a photographers' lens, nonetheless is essential for completing an outfit. Betty Riaz, owner of fashion boutique Stil, won the award for my favorite shoes of the night. These stylish Loeffler Randall heels stood out – in a good way – among some of the more traditional heels in the crowd. Her friend’s Prada shoes (L) were pretty fabulous as well. I guess stylish birds of a feather flock together – or in this case, dance together.

Karolina Blodgett, Boston Ball Ball Chair, was another who dressed the best in her outfit she designed by...herself! I can see why she was named one of Boston Globe's 25 Most Stylish Bostonians because this ethereal dress was exquisite.

Fashion is fun but the foodie can’t forget about the food. These tasty bite sized treats kept my energy up and my feet dancing through the night!

All and all, another fun filled and exciting evening in a not so sleepy Boston!
